What's the future for humanoid robots after unlocking autonomous battery swapping?

Guangdong is rapidly advancing its robotics industry, with humanoid robots becoming a key growth sector for high-quality development. Recently, Shenzhen-based U *** ECH Robotics unveiled its Walker S2 industrial humanoid robot, which features a world-first hot-swappable autonomous power exchange system. This breakthrough allows the robot to independently complete a battery swap in just three minutes, ensuring "24/7 continuous operation." This development is seen as a crucial step toward the commercialization of humanoid robots. As a result, U *** ECH's stock price surged by nearly 10%, and the company secured an order worth almost 90.51 million yuan, with its robots already in training at NIO's factory.

Zhang Yin, executive president of the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, stated that humanoid robots are currently performing standardized tasks in industrial settings. However, the ultimate goal is to introduce them into households, which will require improvements in their interaction capabilities and stability. Their development depends on enhancing both the "big brain" (intelligent decision-making systems, such as VLA models and spatial intelligence) and the " *** all brain" (motion control abilities).

In June 2025, the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry Alliance was established to drive industrial upgrades. Technological advancements will lead to workforce transformation, with a rising proportion of skilled technicians and higher average wages in related sectors. New careers, such as AI trainers, are also expected to emerge. Guangdong is creating training platforms to cultivate professionals who are both knowledgeable in AI and industry applications, thus supporting the development of the sector.

粤产人形机器人解锁“自主换电”：人形机器人未来还有哪些路要走？

广东正加速布局机器人产业，人形机器人成高质量发展重要增长点。近日，深圳优必选研发的Walker S2工业人形机器人凭借全球首创热插拔自主换电系统，3分钟内自主完成换电，实现“7×24小时不间断工作”，被视为其人形机器人商业化关键节点，优必选股价一度大涨近10%，还中标近9051万元订单，已进入蔚来工厂实训。

广东省人工智能产业协会执行会长张崟表示，人形机器人目前在工业领域承担标准化工作，未来终极目标是进入家庭，但需提升交互能力与稳定性。其发展需强化“大脑”（智能决策系统，如VLA模型、空间智能）和“小脑”（运动控制能力）。

今年6月，广东成立人工智能与机器人产业联盟，推动产业升级。技术发展将带来劳动力转型，相关企业技术人员占比和平均工资均有提升，还将催生人工智能训练师等新职业。广东正打造相关培训平台，培养懂AI且通行业的应用型人才，助力产业发展。
